About Us
OUR STORY
It started with a thread.
Honeytrap was born from a quiet obsession — with velvet, with embroidery, with the kind of softness that makes a room feel like it's hugging you back.
We were tired of cushions that looked good in the photo and disappointed in the hand. Thin fabric. Printed-on "embroidery." Zips that gave up after three washes. The kind of homeware that's designed to be scrolled past, not lived with.
So we made the opposite.
Real velvet. Real thread. Real hands.
Every Honeytrap cover starts with 360 GSM heavyweight velvet — the thick, plush kind that catches light differently depending on where you sit. Then comes the embroidery: actual stitches, actual thread, designed slowly and stitched slower. No prints pretending to be embroidery. No shortcuts dressed up as "modern technique."
We work in small batches because that's the only way to keep the quality where we want it. Every cover is checked by hand before it leaves us — seams, stitches, the hidden zip, the corners. If it doesn't feel like Honeytrap, it doesn't ship.
Why "Honeytrap"?
Because the best things in a home are the ones that pull you in and don't let go.
A cushion you keep reaching for. A corner of the sofa everyone fights over. A texture you find your hand on without thinking. That's the trap — soft, slow, and a little impossible to resist. We just make the bait.
What we believe
We believe homeware should be made to be lived with, not staged for one good photo. We believe in slow stitching over fast trends — the cover you buy from us this season should still feel right three sofas from now. We believe in honest materials, the kind that feel exactly like they look. And we believe a little drama in your living room is a very good thing.
Made in India. Made with care.
Honeytrap is designed and crafted in India, by a small team that takes the craft personally. Every bloom, every bee, every stitched corner passes through hands that care whether you love it. Because if you don't, none of the rest of it matters.
Welcome to the Hive.
Come stay a while. The velvet's warm, the blooms are loud, and there's always room for one more cushion.
